Infection Control

Clontarf Hospital aim to provide high standard of care and treatment in a safe and healthy environment The challenge for healthcare staff today is to prevent healthcare associated infections. Infection prevention and control play a significant role in achieving this goal. Clontarf Hospital has a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Infection Prevention & Control, who provides  expert advice and guidance to the staff, assuring a safe hospital environment.

The Infection Control Department provides the following services:

  • Infection Management (Outbreak Management)
  • Infection Surveillance
  • Training and Education (Staff Education)


Hours of service: If you have any questions regarding infection control while in the hospital, the Infection prevention & Control Nurse manager  is available Monday through Friday ( 7:45 – 16:15 hrs) to speak with you or your family.
