Visiting Times
Clontarf Hospital has developed a Person Centred Approach to visiting.
The Person Centred Approach to visiting means staff will work together with patients and their visitors to ensure that care aligns with the following core principles.
- Welcoming - Encouraging the involvement of those who matter to the patient
- Patient Led - Respecting patients' preferences regarding the people who matter to them visiting
- Partnership - Working together with patients and their visitors
- Flexibility - Providing flexible visiting times
- Respect - Ensuring safety, privacy and dignity for all patients
Visiting Times:
To improve patient experience and maximise rehabilitation therapy, visiting hours are as follows:
Monday to Friday:
- 13.00 - 16.30
- 17.45 - 21.00
Saturday & Sunday:
- 11.00 - 12.30
- 13.00 - 16.30
- 17.45 - 21.00
Visiting Arrangements:
- Maximum of two visitors per patient at a time
- Children are welcome under strict parental/guardian supervision
- Photography/recording is not permitted without the consent of Hospital management
Infection Prevention Measures:
Visitors can help reduce the risk of infection by:
- Practicing hand hygiene - washing hands/using alcohol-based hand rub on entry and exit
- Not visiting if experiencing diarrhoea, vomiting, or flu-like symptoms (must be symptom-free for 48 hours)
- Complying with isolation protocols as required
- Not sitting on patients' beds
- Disposing of rubbish properly
- Flowers and plants are not permitted for infection control reasons
